Today I attended the first session of Play is the Way with Wilson McCaskill. I have left the session with many many thoughts spinning around in my head.
I have ordered my own copy of the program so I can’t wait till they come so I can really get stuck into it.

The main thing that has stuck with me is

Secondly: It is ok to make mistakes, it is how you bounce back.
Wilson explained this very well. You you feel ‘dumb’ or a ‘failure’ you tend to slump, bend the knees (either physically or emotionally). You have two choices now, you can continue to slump and feel down upon you.
Have you tried jumping with straight legs before? Almost impossible, and apart from looking very silly while trying to do so you will find you can’t jump that high. Now jump but first bend your knees. You jumped higher yes? Of course!

An important part of learning is making mistakes. it is what we do after those mistakes that shape us.
So do you jump and bounce back or do you continue to bend your knees?
